Snowmobiling is very popular in the winter months in Newfoundland?  The Baie Verte Peninsula and La Scie area in particular normally receive a large amount of snow which is suitable for snowmobiling until mid to late April most years.  A groomed trail connects La Scie to the provincial snowmobile trail system.  In addition there are several local trails through the surrounding countryside offering great riding and magnificent views.

There are currently no snowmobile rentals available in the area so you need to travel your own personal sled here. It should not be difficult to find some local person to lead you on an exploration of the area!
